Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. For this reason, we have decided to host all of our tutoring services online. Tutoring will now be performed over Zoom, a free to download, Video/Audio teaching interface. For new students who are interested in setting up the platform, a free 30 minute session will be allocated so they become comfortable with the software.

Online Tutoring Via Zoom
Course Concepts Academy is offering online tutoring via Zoom. Zoom is a free-to- download app for Windows/ Mac/ Android / iOS that provides video conference and teaching. Please sign up and download the app at https://zoom.us/ A 1 Hour Trial session is available to new students who are interested in testing our services as well the platform.
These sessions are based on bookings only. Sessions can be booked in two hours or in a greater duration. Only two-hour sessions can be awarded at minimum.
Online tutoring is currently available for all Math and Science Courses from Grades 9 – 12 as well as first year University/College Mathematics. English proofreading and essay assistance is also provided.

Hour Packages
Hour Packages are meant for students who require varying levels of assistance over the course of the academic year.
An academic year will constitute September of the start of the Semester until the end of August, of the next year.
Hour Packages will be offered currently in 10- Hour, 25-Hour and 50-Hour Options.
All Hour Packages will expire after the end of the Academic Year, in which they were purchased. It is mandatory for students to book at least a two hour session each week, in order to maximize the effectiveness of instruction.
I.e. a 50 Hour Package purchased in September 20, 2020 will expire on September 1st, 2021.
Monthly Hour Package
Monthly Hour Packages are meant for students who prefer frequent tutoring, course assistance or accelerated learning. provided at a cheaper rate.
Monthly Hour Packages will expire one month from the date of registration or if the remaining hours on the package become zero.
The total value of the Monthly Hour Package will constitute 20 Hours.
The intended expiry date of the package will supersede positive hour balances.
I.e. Student A purchases a 20 – Hour Monthly Package on September 23rd, 2020. The package will expire on October 23rd, 2020.
Booking Policy
1. Bookings can be made regarding registered students containing accounts with positive hour balances. Bookings can be made preferably by text, messaging platforms or email.
2. Student accounts must have positive hour balances preceding service. Students with insufficient hour balances will be denied service, until appropriate action is taken to resolve the issue on their account.
3. Bookings must be made at the very latest by 12:00 p.m. of the intended day of attendance. Priority will be given in chronological order.
4. All bookings must be a minimum of 2 hours. If the student has fulfilled at least 2 hours of instruction each week, no hour restrictions will be placed on subsequent bookings.
Payment Policy
1. All packages must be paid in full. Partial payments will not be accepted for packages. Packages will only be received if payment is preformed prior to the tutoring service. Otherwise, the hourly rate will be appropriately applied in association with the student’s grade level and hourly balance.
2. Payments will be accepted in cash, cheque or email transfer. Customers will be responsible for any NSF fees due to bounced cheques or payments. If full payment is not made, tutoring will cease until full payment is received.
3. All payments for services at Course Concepts Academy will be awarded receipts to document the transaction.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. All package sales are final and no refund will be awarded after the use of hours. Furthermore, all student packages are non-transferrable.
2. All packages are effective until the end of their academic year. An academic year includes September of the current year to August of the next year. Remaining hours from the previous academic year will not be refunded and accepted in the new academic year.
3. Prices are subsequent to change at the start of each new academic year.
4. The student must provide the tutor with a 24-hour notice in the event of a cancellation. Cancellations can be performed via email, phone, or in person during office hours.
5. If the customer cancels the scheduled lesson less than 10 hours before the lesson, the scheduled lesson will be deducted from their remaining hours. If no notice is given and the tutor shows up, the full lesson will be deducted from their remaining hours.
