If you have completed your trial session and were interested in joining our team of students, this would be a good time to explain our procedure and protocol.
What are the rates and pricing for tutoring?
We conduct one-on-one online private sessions as well as online group sessions. Private tutoring sessions are a Pay as you go model, and the fee can be paid weekly. Group sessions involve Hour Packages. Hour packages will allow students to have a certain credit of hours on their student account. The student can use these hours to book in for sessions with the tutor for 1 hour, 2 hour or 3 hour durations. After the student completes the aforementioned session with the instructor, the information will be updated and shared on their individual track sheet via google drive. The student track sheet will include the date of instruction, duration, as well as balance of hours remaining on the account. It is recommended that the student provides us with an appropriate Gmail email account to ensure that they will have compatible updates, although other email accounts may work.
The hour package options come in the form of 10-hour and 25 hour packages currently. Larger packages will offer students a discount on an hourly rate. It is important to remember that these packages will last the duration of the academic year. An academic year spans September 01 of the first year to August 31st of the next year. An example of an academic year can be September 1st 2024 – August 31st 2025. All packages will expire after the intended academic year without exception to hours remaining.
How do I make a payment and what are some of my payment options?
Currently we are accepting payments through Email Transfer (EMT). EMTs can be made out to courseconcepts@gmail.com. The benefit of using our EMT service is you will receive a virtual receipt, confirmation and will not have to pay any additional taxes.
It is important to remember that we only accept full payments for our hour packages and services. Partial payments will not be accepted.
Will I be able to get a refund on my purchase if I have hours remaining?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. In the case where students have not used at least half of their package, within the first month of purchase and have decided to omit themselves from our services, we can provide credit in the form of hours which they can transfer to another student. Transfer of student
accounts will only be accepted under this condition. The new student who is in receipt of the account will acquire all of the previous student’s session information, hour balances, and payment logs. The account will still follow all intended expiry rules as a normal hour package.
How will the classes be conducted?
All of our classes are conducted over Zoom. Zoom is an online learning platform which facilitates an audio and visual interface to communicate with students. Zoom is a free-to-download app for Windows/Mac/Android/iOS that provides video conference and teaching. Please sign up and download the app at http://zoom.us/. A meeting ID will be provided to the student by the tutor in advance of the session.
We would also recommend students have a WhatsApp account for the easy sharing of images and course material including homework question scans, textbook materials as well as education video links.
The group sessions which will include a maximum of 4 students. The student can contact the tutor to gauge how busy each time slot is. Students will be grouped based on their subject matter and grade to promote effective instruction. Sessions will be conducted based on sessions available from Tuesday – Fridays from 6-8 pm and Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12-6 p.m. Other convenient time arrangements are also negotiable.
